Ronald Wanglin, CIC

Ron received his B.A. from the University of California at Berkeley and did his graduate work at Hastings College of the Law. Ron joined his family's agency in 1977 and in 1994 merged with Bolton and Company, headquartered in Pasadena. He was awarded the Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation in 1980 and is a Past President of the Independent Insurance Agents Association, Santa Monica (1983-84).

Ron is a member of the advisory councils for the St. Paul Fire & Marine Insurance Company and AIG Insurance Group and has been a featured speaker on a variety of insurance topics before the Beverly Hills Bar Association, the American Conference Institute on Intellectual Property Insurance and the annual Venture Net Conference, among others. Ron also serves on the Board of Directors of Assurex Global, an exclusive network of the world's leading independent brokers.

Ron is Chairman of the Board of Trustees for The Buckley School (1994-), is a past Chairman of the American Red Cross (West District, 1981-83), a past President of the Westwood Village Rotary Club (1987-88), and in 1990 was honored by being named Rotarian of the Year.

Steven Brockmeyer, ARM, CIC

Steve graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara, with a double major in Business Economics and Political Science. He began his career as a direct sales representative with Wausau Insurance Company before joining Bolton & Company in 1990. Steve has served on the Board of Governors of the Western Association of Insurance Brokers, the Board of Directors of the IBA West, and the Board of Directors of the IBA West Service Corporation. He currently serves as Chairman of the Board of the IBA West Service Corporation.

He is an Associate of Risk Management and a Certified Insurance Counselor. Steve currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors of Bolton & Company, as well as President of the firm.

Mike Morey
Chief Operating Officer

Mike graduated from the University of Texas in 1986 with a major in Economics. He began his insurance career as a field claims adjuster with Farmers Insurance in Houston, Texas. With over 17 years of experience, Mike has had management responsibilities in underwriting, marketing, and sales with both carriers and agencies. He believes in the importance of continuing education and has completed the professional designation Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC). His goal is to ensure that Bolton & Company meets the needs of its clients.

Mike joined Bolton & Company in 2001 as Vice President of Sales. In 2002, he was promoted to Chief Operating Officer. In addition to his commitment to work, Mike serves on the boards of the La Fetra School Foundation and the Glendora National Little League.

Julie Bowman
Chief Financial Officer

Julie began her insurance career in April 1980. She worked with several small regional insurance agents as the agency accountant. She graduated with honors from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting.

In 1989, Julie passed the Certified Public Accountants (CPA) exam at first sitting. At that time she joined Lucas & Company, CPA’s. She continued working with insurance agents, along with performing audit duties to finish the CPA designation.

Julie joined Bolton & Company in February 1999 as Chief Financial Officer. Her extensive knowledge of accounting issues for insurance agencies has been a great benefit to Bolton and Company.

Joyce Elzouki
Director of Insurance Operations

Joyce graduated from California State University, Northridge, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. She began her insurance career in 1972 as a commercial account manager.

She achieved Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation in 1978, and Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation in 2002.

Joyce joined Bolton & Company in 1988 to work with the agency’s largest producer. Her outstanding insurance knowledge and ability to work with people earned Joyce the Commercial Lines Manager position in 1999. She was promoted again in 2002 to Director of Insurance Operations.
